Create system notification for agent when customer sends a new chat message

Summary:

Whenever a new chat message came from End-User in B2C Service, Agent Desktop icon will blink to notify the Agent. This behaviour is not available in Agent Browser UI. But, an alternative via Browser UI extensibility is possible to provide a system level notification for new messages.

Extension Configuration

Uploading the Extension
  • Open Extension Manager in Browser UI
  • Upload the attached sample extension as BUI workspace extension
  • Choose index.html as init file
  • Assign profile access
  • Save and Publish extension.

Configure Extension in Workspace
  • Open Desktop console. Drag and Drop the extension to interaction workspace.
